A Late Easter Finish

Better late then never, right?!  I finished this Easter quilt up about a week ago.  It was a kit at my local quilt shop and the pattern is from Kimberbell Designs.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

Easter quilt

When I quilted this, I tried to challenge myself to do some different types of free motion quilting.  Behind the bunting that says Easter is a paisley design, there are some loops with the carrots and baskets, a small stipple with the bunnies and baby chicks and some swirls on the pink fabric in the chevron row.  Finally, I did some clover behind the big flowered row.  I am taking the Leah Day class on Craftsy and wanted to put my new knowledge to use!  Also in the border I attempted to quilt some flowers that was a tutorial on the Cluck Cluck Sew blog a short while ago.

All that being said, it is hard to see the quilting in this terrible picture - but trust me - it is there!

Linking up to Finish It Up Friday.  I am hoping to get some serious sewing time in this weekend!  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. What a cute idea! I've not seen this kit before. The quilting you've worked sounds wonderful.
